Panavision 3D
The Panavision 3D is a passive stereoscopic 3D system that utilizes spectral comb filters produced using Thin-film optics technology. The visible spectrum is broken into alternate bands of light that evenly span the entire visible spectrum, in the current arrangement five alternating bands are seen by one eye and the other bands are seen by the opposite eye for a total of ten. this provides even color balance to each eye as well as nearly perfect light energy balance. The high performance of these type of optical filters creates very high extinction ratios that are claimed to exceed Anaglyph and Polarizing systems. The filter system can be used in film and digital projectors, on white or silver screens. The system was developed by Omega Optical inc and Panavision inc
